ACCOMPANYING A PATIENT

We advise patients not to travel alone or stay alone at the hotel. We always ask the patient to be accompanied by family or friends. Should that not be possible for you, please let us know in advance, then we can offer you another way to provide appropriate guidance.

HOW TO GET TO THE CLINIC

By car

• From the highway E40 Brussels – Ostend : take exit 9 Oostkamp. Follow the direction of Bruges. You can find us 300 meters after the third roundabout on your left hand side : Baron Ruzettelaan 242.
• From the center of Bruges follow the direction Oostkamp: You are now on the Baron Ruzettelaan. You'll find house number 242 on your right hand side.
• GPS: Baron Ruzettelaan 242, Bruges

 

By train

Bruges is easily accessible from most of the (inter) national railway stations. From London and Paris or Lille you can take the Eurostar to Brussels. Then there is a direct connection to Bruges.
From the railway station every 20 minutes you can take a bus from platform 4

• Line 20 (Bruges - Oostkamp): stop Baron Ruzettelaan - Benedictijnenstraat
• Line 21 (Bruges-Zwevezele-Tielt): stop Baron Ruzettelaan - Benedictijnenstraat

By plane

From abroad, the most accessible airports are Lille (80 km), Brussels - Zaventem (80 km), Ostend (20 km) and Brussels South - Charleroi (110 km). From these airports, train connections to Bruges are easily possible.

STAYING IN BRUGES

In a hotel

As a patient, but also for the accompanying person, it is pleasant to be in Bruges. In the city there are numerous affordable hotels available in all categories. Note that these hotels often offer very interesting mid-week packages at very attractive rates. Ask the hotels of your interest.

In a "guest house" or "bed and breakfast.

Many patients prefer a bed & breakfast because of the more personal character. A comprehensive list can be found on www.brugge-bedandbreakfast.com

In the hospital

For certain procedures a hospitalization is required. In case a hospitalization is necessary, patients are referred to A.Z. Jan Palfijn Ghent, were Dr. Myny works as plastic surgeon. The hospital Jan Palfijn is located in Ghent, about 40 km from Bruges. It is a well well-known hospital with excellent reputation. Visit the website at www.janpalfijn.be.

At Clinic the Barony itself

If you wish, an overnight stay in the Clinic can be arranged. You will be looked after by a qualified and experienced nurse.
 

TOURIST INFORMATION

Bruges is world famous as a tourist attraction. This beautiful medieval city is considered by UNESCO as world heritage. Just outside the beautiful city of Bruges is the small but historically important town of Damme. Definitely worth a visit. See www.damme.be.
Knokke is a modern, cosy and fashionable town by the sea, about 15 km from Bruges.
